Configuration needed for viewing event details
When the prerequisite items are in place, configure the product to view event details for your CIs from Tivoli® Netcool/OMNIbus.

A first step of the configuration is to specify information about how to connect to the Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus OSLC provider. - Evaluating the queries that find events
By default, the product searches for events in Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus that match the fully qualified domain name or IP address of the CI. You, as the Control Desk expert and your company 's Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus expert should evaluate the queries to ensure that they fit your specific environment. You can decide to keep or remove the default mappings and queries and you can add your own. - Configuring how events display in the Federated Details dialog
By default, events display in the Federated Details dialog by created date in descending order. The Description column displays the event summary. You can customize how events display in this dialog. - Configuring the event details that display in the Related Resource Data dialog
When you click an event for a CI in the Federated Details dialog, a Related Resource Data dialog displays details about that event. By default, the Related Resource Data dialog displays the event summary, severity, and created date. You can customize the details that display in this dialog. - Enabling the ability to view event details
Upon completion of the configuration steps, enable the ability to view event details in the user interface.
