Creating software contracts
To manage software contracts, create software contract records and complete the approval process for the contract. After a contract is approved, you can create payment schedules and associate the contract with the appropriate licenses, assets, and users.
About this task
- Software Contracts application – Click New Software Contract on the toolbar.
- Master Contracts application – Select the Create Associated Contract action.
- Purchase Orders application – Select the Create Contract action.
When you use a standard software contract, the system requires a purchase order, but does not specify a maximum amount that you can spend.
