Configuring security using a directory server
You must configure security for Control Desk before users can log in to the interface and use its applications.

Configuring security using Maximo security
When you use Maximo security, you do not use a directory server. You manage users and security groups using the Users and Security Groups applications, and information about users and groups is stored only in the Maximo database.

Configuring launch-in-context access
If you installed IBM® Tivoli® Application Dependency Discovery Manager (TADDM), you can jump from the Actual CIs application to the TADDM user interface to view more details about a particular CI.
