Predecessor relationships

You can define relationships between work records that indicate when tasks begin and end in relation to one another. The work records must be siblings under the same parent work record to define a predecessor relationship.

You can define the following relationships:

Your statuses might be different, depending on the values that you defined in the Organizations application.

For example, Work Order 1 (WO1) has a Finish to Start relationship with Work Order 2 (WO2). WO1 contains three tasks, the duration of which total 12 hours. WO2 cannot start until all tasks for WO1 are complete (12 hours). The status of WO2 changes to INPRG when all three tasks for WO1 are complete, making WO1 complete.

Lead and Lag time do not affect flow-controlled status changes.
