Defining special pricing for work

With special pricing, you can charge customers special prices for work done for work orders or tickets. Special pricing includes pricing based on price quotes, or pricing based on specified minimum or included pricing thresholds. A price schedule can have only one type of special pricing defined at a time. You cannot use a combination of quotes, include pricing, and minimum pricing.

  • Included and minimum pricing thresholds
    Pricing thresholds are limits that determine if some work on work orders is included in the charge to the customer or if the customer is charged a minimum amount regardless of the amount of work completed.
  • Price quotes
    You might have price quotes applied to certain work orders that you work with in the Customer Billing application. For example, you might offer premium seasonal services or special event services and deliver these services for a quoted price.
  • Setting special pricing on a price schedule
    You can add special pricing to a customer agreement price schedule. You can set included or minimum pricing thresholds to indicate whether some work is to be included, or you can use pricing from quotes. The special pricing parameters are applied to costs when the price schedules are applied to work orders.
