Prerequisites for viewing CI and asset data from other products
Several prerequisites must be met before you can configure UI Previews of CI and asset data from other products.
- The Registry Services component of Jazz™ for Service Management must
be installed and configured in the environment.
- For system requirements, see Jazz for Service Management hardware and software requirements.
- For installation instructions, see Getting started with Jazz for Service Management.
- The OSLC Service Provider that discovers or manages data about the IT resources that are defined in the CRTV must be installed in the environment and registered in the Provider Registry.
- The OSLC Service Provider must register their resources in the Resource Registry.
- Authorized CIs and assets must be created in Control Desk. Each CI or asset for which UI Previews are retrieved must minimally contain enough data to satisfy one of the identification rules as defined in the CRTV for its corresponding resource type. At least one OSLC Provider must register resource data that matches that identification rule.
