Managing the map view
The map view provides a set of icons and other controls that enable you to change the view in various ways. You can also obtain additional information about each of the mapped records.
- Using the top icons - map tools
The icons across the top border of a map enable you to view your location, route directions for traveling to the mapped records, display layers in the map, refresh the display, and show the map as a full-screen graphic. - Managing My Location
With your permission, the browser uses the Geolocation Service Provider to gather information about nearby wireless access points or your computer’s IP address to estimate your location. If you would prefer a different location, you can download Mozilla Firefox Geolocator or another add-on to change the default location. - Using miscellaneous tools and icons
You can use miscellaneous map tools and icons to scroll up, down, right, or left in a map; see a street view of any location on the map; zoom in or out; and toggle between a map view and a satellite view. - Using Map Control to customize and extend mapping
