Viewing request information and adding links to external systems

After you receive a WSRR-generated process request, you can open the process request and view request information, including a launch-in-context link to the WSRR page. You can also manually supply additional links to external systems.

About this task

To view the information about a newly generated WSRR process request, perform the following steps while logged in to Control Desk:

Procedure

  1. Open the Process Requests application (Go To > Change > Process Requests).
  2. To open the request, click the name of the request in the record list.
  3. Open the Related Records tab.

The Related External Links table is displayed. If a link to the related WSRR page was included in the request, this table displays a row for the URL.

  4. To launch directly to the URL that is displayed in the URL field, click Launch URL in the upper right corner of the Related External Links section.

You can manually add additional links to other WSRR pages. These additional links might be used to provide additional information about the WSRR update.

  5. To add additional links to WSRR, perform the following steps in the Related External Links table of the Related Records tab:
    1. Click New Row.
