Enabling enterprise services for continuous queues

Before you import data, you must enable the enterprise service defined for IT asset disposal imports and verify that message processing from the continuous queue is enabled.

Before you begin

By default, all the enterprise services are disabled. After you enable the enterprise services, you can disable one or more of them if you want to prevent the external system from processing messages associated with the enterprise service. By default, the enterprise service for asset disposal imports are configured to use continuous queues.

About this task

The external system for IT asset disposal imports includes one enterprise service, ITASSETDISPOSALInterface. In this task, you perform two procedures for this enterprise service. You enable the service, and you verify that it is configured to use a continuous queue.

Procedure

  1. On the navigation bar, click Go To > Integration > External Systems.
  2. In the External Systems application, display TAMITEXTSYS, the external system for asset disposal imports.
  3. On the Enterprise Services tab, select the row that displays the ITASSETDISPOSALInterface service, and select the Enabled check box.
  4. To write messages to the continuous inbound queue, check that the Use Continuous Queue check box is selected.
  5. Click Save External System.

What to do next

To import catalog data, enable the TAMITEXTSYS external system.
