Software catalog imports

Use the integration framework to import software catalog data.

IBM provides a software catalog data file monthly on the IBM® website.

To import software catalog data into Control Desk on a regular schedule, use the integration framework applications and the scheduling features in the Cron Task Setup application. Control Desk includes integration framework components and cron task components that are designed to facilitate importing knowledge base software catalog data.

After you import the data, you can view the imported information in the Software Catalog application in Control Desk.
