Sequential queue

On less robust systems, use the sequential queue, which requires a smaller percentage of CPU resources.

Because the sequential queue processes only one record at a time, it is easy to analyze debug output from the sequential queue.

To prevent error messages from slowing the processing of records, configure the sequential queue to record error messages instead of reprocessing them. To enable the sequential queue, activate the JMSQSEQCONSUMER cron task. It is recommended that you set up the administrative alert for errors in the sequential queue.

In general, importing software catalog data through the sequential queue is error-free. Any errors encountered represent failed records.
