Step 1: Install and configure Control Desk

Before you can import IT asset disposal data, you must install Control Desk and configure it to use the integration framework.

For instructions about how to install and configure Control Desk, see the IBM Control Desk Installation Guide for Oracle WebLogic Server or WebSphere® Application Server.

If installing Control Desk on WebLogic Server, you must manually configure the JMS queues for use with the integration framework. For instructions about how to configure JMS queues manually, see the IBM Control Desk Installation Guide for Oracle WebLogic Server.

If you use WebSphere Application Server, the installer configures default JMS queues.
