Saved queries

Saved queries enable you to quickly list a subset of CIs in the Configuration Items application or the Actual Configuration Items application. For example, In the Configuration Items application, you can list all CIs with or without authorized CIs. Saved queries are also used to populate result set portlets in a start center. For example, you can specify that the "Top Level CIs with Actual CIs" saved query will list these CIs in one of your result set portlets.

To view a list of the built-in saved queries for configuration management, open the Configuration Items application or the Actual Configuration Items application, and select View/Manage Queries from the Save Query pull-down menu. The View/Manage Queries window opens to display a list of the queries, with descriptions. Open a saved query in the list to view the clause for that query. You can create new saved queries, modify the existing queries, and otherwise manage your saved queries in the View/Manage Queries window; click the question mark in the upper right corner for instructions.
