Recalculation of impact and risk following assessment

In addition to calculating priority, impact, and risk during the Accept and Categorize phase, the PMCHGMAIN1 workflow also calculates impact and risk a second time, after the Change assessment is completed. These calculations are performed so that approvers will have all of the information they need to make approval decisions during the Authorization phase.

The impact and risk calculations performed following the assessments do not affect the Change type.

After the workflow calculates impact following the technical and business assessments, it supplies a value in the Maximum Assessed Impact field in the Assessments tab of the Change. This value is one of the inputs used for the risk calculation, which follows the impact calculation.

When risk and impact calculations are made, a message is displayed informing you that the risk or impact has been calculated. To remove these messages, you can do the following:
  • Remove the PMCHGREPORTRISK action from the PMCHGSETRISK1-4 action groups.
  • Remove the PMCHGREPORTIMPACT" from the PMCHGSETIMPACT* action groups.
