Workflow calculations
The values that the workflow assigns to priority, impact, and risk are calculated based on a combination of other values. For each calculation, a matrix helps you visually understand how the workflow arrives at its calculated values.
Priority calculation
Priority is derived from urgency and impact, as follows:
Impact calculation
The initial impact value, which the workflow calculates in preparation for assigning a response plan, is derived using the current impact value and the initial impact assessment value. The lowest value (specifying the highest impact) is assigned. When the workflow calculates impact following the technical and business assessments, it uses the current impact value and the maximum assessed impact value. The impact value is determined as follows:
Risk calculation
Risk is derived from the impact and failure probability values, as follows:
