My Resources
In the My Resources navigator you can view the assets and configuration items that you own. This feature is disabled by default. It must be enabled by the Control Desk administrator.
When you select the My Resources navigator
in the Self Service Center, the assets and configuration items (CIs)
that you own display in a hierarchy that is arranged by category.
The top level of the hierarchy contains a mix of individual resources
and folders that represent the following categories.
- Assets
- Mobile devices
- Virtual machines
- Virtual systems
The My Resources navigator also contains resources that are owned by groups you are a member of.
You can view your resources and also submit service requests for them in the My Resources navigator.
If you do not own any resources for a particular category, no folder for that category displays on the navigator.
Virtual machines that you manually create display in the Virtual
Machines folder of the My Resources navigator
if the CIs that represent the virtual machines meet the following
criteria.
- The Classification field is set to CI.COMPUTERSYSTEM with no subclassifications, and
- The Is Virtual Image field is set to 1 (Numeral One).
Note: If the Administrator changes the filtering criteria for
virtual machines, your manually created virtual machines might not
display in My Resources.
