Types of users
System-level users are different from application-level users.
A Control Desk user can be either a system-level user or an application-level user. A system-level user is responsible for running system-level Java processes and cron jobs. An application-level user uses the user interface to perform real-time tasks.
A system-level user record has the System User box checked on its user profile. If you modify a system-level user record, for example, to add a default site, you must restart the application server for the change to take place. If you modify an application-level user record, the restart is not required.
