Default settings in the Gantt view
You can specify what work and resource data appears in the data table of the Gantt view. The settings specified in the Configure Gantt Properties: Default Settings window apply to all schedules in the Graphical Scheduling application.
The settings you choose in the Default Settings window are the properties from which users can choose in the Configure Gantt Properties: User Settings window. Depending on the criteria you define, some properties can be modified in individual schedules in the Configure Gantt Properties: User Settings window. Only data that you specify in the Default Settings window can display in the Gantt view. Users can select from the default data in the User Settings window, but cannot add additional display properties.
You define the data which appears in the Gantt view using the following tabs.
- Use the Work Properties tab to specify which work data appears. You can select data from the Activity, Change, Release, or Work Order applications.
- Use the Resource Properties tab to specify which resource data appears. You can select data from the Crafts application.
You can specify a business object and attribute, such as a database table and column, to associate with each property that you enter. The specified value then becomes available for selection in the User Settings window. From there, the value can be included in individual schedules. You can specify the order in which data appears in the data table in the Display Order field. You can set certain data to appear on all schedules by selecting Always Visible.
