Service Catalog content

Service Catalog content is a data package that can be installed optionally with Service Catalog. It includes predefined sample organization information, users, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), offerings, catalogs, and services as well as update and migration tools.

Base content elements that are not specific to a particular service include security groups, users, persons, person groups, start centers, queries, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Service-specific content varies depending upon the particular service implementation.

Service Catalog Content includes the following elements:
  • Offerings
  • Catalogs
  • Job plans
  • Ticket Templates
  • Response Plans
  • Workflows (roles, actions, communication templates)
  • Specific custom classes
  • Integration modules
  • Launch in Context entries
  • Service offering presentation dialogs
Note: Service Catalog Content (Offerings, Ticket Templates, Users, and so on) include data that is specifically configured to work with the organization called PMSCIBM. If you change the default organization for the PMSC* users, you must also change in the other content. So, if you change the default site for the PMSC* users to a site that is associated with an organization other than PMSCIBM, you must use the updateTool described in the Reference Section of this information center under Optional Content to update the other Service Catalog content.

To configure Service Catalog without installing the content package, see Configuring Service Catalog without Optional Content in the Process Automation community on Service Management Connect.
