Prerequisites for viewing events for CIs

Several prerequisites must be met before you can configure Control Desk to find event information from Tivoli® Netcool/OMNIbus.

  1. Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus 7.4 Fix Pack 2 or higher must be installed and configured in the environment. For information about Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus, see:
  2. The administrators of both products must determine what data from the Control Desk CIs will be used to find corresponding event data in Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus. This data varies for different environments.
  3. CI data must be imported or created in Control Desk. Each CI for which event details are to be retrieved must minimally contain the data that was decided upon in prerequisite 2.
  4. Control Desk 7.5.1.1 or higher must be installed.
