A mapping is a set of expressions that transform data when Integration Composer imports
it from an external source into a target.
About this task
If any source or target data sources that you want to
use in this mapping are not already open, you must open them. When
you have created a mapping, you can:
- Import the mapping provided in an Integration Composer adapter,
or
- Define mapping parameters by creating expressions to transform
data from the source into target data.
Procedure
- In Integration Composer,
choose Create New Mapping.
- From the Source drop-down list of
existing data sources, select the source.
- From the Target drop-down list of
existing and available data sources, select the target.
- In the Mapping Name field, enter
a new mapping name. Mapping names can be up to 255 characters
in length and are case-sensitive.
- Click OK.
