Activating the JMSQSEQCONSUMER cron task

The JMSQSEQCONSUMER.SEQQIN cron task must be active in order for you to load data. You can activate this cron task in the Cron Task Setup application.

About this task

A cron task runs on a regularly scheduled basis to perform needed operations in the background. Perform the following steps to activate the cron task that enables data loading:

Procedure

Go to the Cron Task Setup application (System Configuration > Platform Configuration > Cron Task Setup).
Type JMSQSEQ in the Cron Task field, press Enter, and click JMSQSEQCONSUMER to open the cron task.
In the Cron Task Instances section, check Active for the SEQQIN instance.
Click to save your change.
Select the Reload Request action. The Reload Request window opens.
In the Reload Request window, check SEQQIN, and click OK to reload the cron task instance.

Results

In a few minutes, the JMSQSEQCONSUMER.SEQQIN cron task starts and you are able to load data. You can load data any time, provided that this cron task is active and running.
