Configuring search indexing

You can configure the PmObjSearchCron cron task to run at any desired schedule or time interval. You can configure this cron task in the Cron Task Setup application.

About this task

The PmObjSearchCron cron task runs on a regularly scheduled basis to index tickets and solutions. Perform the following steps to configure the cron task to enable indexing at a desired schedule or time interval.

Procedure

Go to the Cron Task Setup application (System Configuration > Platform Configuration > Cron Task Setup).
Type PmObjSearchCron in the Cron Task field, press Enter, and click PmObjSearchCron to open the cron task.
In the Cron Task Instances section, click to set indexing schedule.
Select a time interval and click Preview to see the dates.
Select a date and click OK.

Results

In the Cron Task Instances section, the schedule will be updated with your desired schedule and time interval. The cron task will run on the configured schedule and time interval you set to index tickets and solutions.
