Creating your own workflows and workflow icons
Workflow icons are displayed in the top menu of the Changes application. If you open the application now, you can see the white clipboard icon (). If you hover over this icon, the name of the workflow that is currently associated with your Change processing is displayed. You can create your own workflows, and you can create toolbar icons that are associated with these workflows.
To create your own workflow and associated toolbar icon, perform
the following steps:
- Go to the Workflow Designer application ( , and follow instructions in the online help to create a workflow that you want to apply to Changes.
- Specify that the new workflow will be called from the Changes application.
- (Optional) To create a toolbar icon to run the new workflow, perform
the following steps:
- Use a graphics program to create a graphic, sized 16 pixels by
16 pixels, and copy the graphic to the following directory:
C:\IBM\SMP\maximo\applications\maximo\maximoweb\webmodule\webclient\images\*
- With the new workflow open in the Workflow Designer application, select Edit Workflow GO Buttons from the Select Action menu, and provide the name of the graphics file. The graphic will be displayed in the toolbar of the Changes application.

16 pixels, and copy the graphic to the following directory:
