Tracking total costs of Changes
The Cost Analysis start center template enables you to add a Cost Analysis tab to your start center. This new tab is associated with the PMCHGCOSTMANAGER security group; to add the tab to your start center, you can simply open the Security Groups application and add your username to this group.
The Cost Analysis start center template provides the following
useful items:
- A Key Performance Indicator (KPI) bar chart that shows the total estimated and actual costs for all of the Changes in the data center, summarized for cost overview and detailed for each cost category.
- Result sets (a pie chart and detail data) show Changes with costs in the top ten percent of all Changes. You can group this information by Change classification, CI number, priority, or any other Change attribute.
