Process variations based on Change type

One of the key descriptors of a Change is its type. The Change type dictates which of the process steps are completed. There are three Change types, as defined by ITIL V3: normal, emergency, and standard. The process steps that are executed during a Change are adjusted based on type.

Whether you are processing an advanced Change or an express Change, you can specify any of the three Change types. The resulting process variations differ depending on whether the Change is advanced or express.
