Canceling tickets in Control Desk Service Portal

In the Self Service Center in Control Desk Service Portal, you can cancel tickets that you created or tickets that someone else created on your behalf.

About this task

If your administrators configured a service catalog for the Self Service Center, you can request services that are provided by your enterprise. If you no longer want that service, you can cancel the ticket. If another person enters a ticket on your behalf, as the affected user you can also cancel the ticket.

Complete the following steps to cancel a ticket.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Service Portal.
  2. In the Self Service Center, select the ticket that you want to cancel.
  3. Click Cancel Ticket.
  4. In the Cancel Ticket window, provide an explanation for the cancellation.
  5. Click Cancel Ticket. The ticket is closed. Your request to cancel the ticket is added as a comment in the activity log to notify service desk agents that the service is no longer needed.
