Configuring log files for Control Desk Service Portal

Administrators can configure levels for Control Desk Service Portal logging in the Service Portal user interface.

About this task

The following log levels are available for Control Desk Service Portal:
  • Error
  • Warning
  • Info
  • Verbose
  • Debug
By default, the log level is info, the log file size is 1 GB, and the number of logs that are kept is five.

Administrators have the ability to specify log levels in the Service Portal user interface. To change log file size and the number of logs that are kept, submit a request the IBM hosting team.

Complete the following steps to change the default log level.

Procedure

  1. From the settings menu settings image, select Logging Configuration.
  2. In the Logging Configuration window, specify the log level for Control Desk Service Portal files.
  3. Click Save.
