Viewing deployed software data

Follow these procedures to find and view deployed software records in the database.

The deployed software records in the Deployed Software application include details about the software's site, location, installation date, removal date, last used date, use exemption (for audit reports), and more. Although limited information about deployed software is available in the Licenses and Software Catalog applications, users of those applications must link to the Deployed Software application to obtain the additional details noted above.

When viewing deployed software records, you can find deployed software that meets that specific criteria you specify. You can also view details about the computer where the deployed software is installed. If the deployed software record originated with IBM® Tivoli® Software Knowledge Base Toolkit or IBM Tivoli Asset Discovery for z/OS® where a software bundle was previously identified, information is provided about any software components, features, or products that are included as a component of the deployed software. (Note that the components listed are not required to be installed on the same computer.).
