License platform
License platform refers to the platform base (the combination of the hardware and operating system) on which the software product is licensed to be installed and run. A license can be assigned a platform value of either MAINFRAME or DISTRIBUTED.
Check the terms of your license agreement to determine the platform. A distributed operating system running on a mainframe platform (such as Integrated Facility for Linux) is treated as “distributed.” In general, you can consider “distributed” to mean any nonmainframe platform. Your selection of MAINFRAME or DISTRIBUTED is mainly for classification and reporting purposes, so the important thing is that your entries just be consistent.
